Countryside Science
Learning Policy
At Countryside Science, we are committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive, and accessible training experiences across all of our courses — whether delivered online or in-person, and whether accredited or non-accredited. This policy outlines how learning is supported, delivered, and maintained to a professional standard.
We offer a range of training formats, including:
Self-paced online courses
In-person, instructor-led practical training
Blended delivery, combining digital content with face-to-face sessions
Each course includes clear learning objectives, structured content, and support where needed. Course materials are reviewed regularly to remain up to date and aligned with current industry practices and standards.
Some courses are accredited by awarding bodies such as Lantra, and others are delivered as bespoke or non-accredited training.
Where applicable, certification will only be issued upon successful completion of all required assessments and meeting the course criteria.
Details about accreditation (where relevant) are provided at the time of enrolment.
We aim to provide equal access to all learners.
If you require reasonable adjustments to participate fully in a course (for example, due to disability, health condition, or language needs), please notify us before or during the course.
We will take all reasonable steps to accommodate your needs. Online courses include English subtitles by default, and additional support may be available upon request.
We handle learner data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If a course is accredited (e.g. by Lantra), your name and email address may be securely shared with the awarding body for certification purposes.
Enrolment on such courses will be considered as consent to share this limited data.
A full Privacy Policy is available on request.
We expect all learners to:
Engage fully with the learning material
Complete all assessments with integrity
Respect instructors, fellow learners, and learning environments
Misuse of materials, inappropriate conduct, or dishonesty in assessments may result in removal from the course.
We welcome feedback to help us improve.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of your training, you may:
Speak to the instructor directly (for face-to-face courses)
Reply to your course email (for online courses)
